In 2023, Davy started to publish his podcast content into books. There are at least eight books available in the Ultrarunning History Series.

Davy has always been a history buff. In the 1990s he published four books on the American westward migration. Fast forward to early 2017 when Davy had nearly 90 100-finishes. He started to wonder about the history of ultrarunning. He discovered discrepancies in the Western States 100 origin story, that Gordy Ainsleigh was not the first to cover the trail on foot during the Tevis Cup (horse endurance ride.) Seven soldiers beat him by two years and Gordy even witnessed it. How could that be? The most famous event in modern ultrarunning history wasn’t fully told, with facts purposely left out. With the help of co-author, Phil Lowry, they took a year to research the facts and published online the bomb-shell news that rewrote known ultrarunning history correctly.
